Extending the usability of the force-flow based topology optimization to the process of generative design

Abstract Topology optimization and Generative Design are two methods to create volume or stiffness optimized parts they used more frequently nowadays. However, the specific often not well described connection between these is clearly explained. In this article, a force-flow based topology process has been explained in detail extended with function be able use as tool. The proposed algorithm tested on three 2D shapes effectiveness was evaluated. This work clarifies vague description of theoretical solutions by presenting operation bridging lack information that exists shape procedure generative design solution.
